Tutored students in Math, Science, and English. Various grades from k-12. Took many AP classes in high school, 1300 SAT . I really enjoy tutoring and working with kids of all ages to give them the confidence and tools to achieve their optimal academic potential. I like to use positive reinforcement to get the child motivated to "reach for the stars" in terms of their abilities in the classroom; I like the one on one experience to fully engage in the student and know that all your attention is given to the individual and you are able to see what the student is fully understanding and what concepts they are grasping. Also the individualized instruction makes it easier for the student to do so. I love seeing the progress they can make over the course of just even one session. Also working with all different student populations, from k-12, special education and general education, I am able to conform teaching methods to each student based on their needs. My success as a tutor has been attributed to my ability to patiently explain concepts in a direct and concise manner to maximize the comprehension and academic success of the student. An individualized lesson plan is formulated to address the student's needs. I love interacting with and helping people. I've had past success in doing it and I am looking do it again.

I am a very active person and enjoy trying and doing new things. I play just about any sport. I played sports in high school on Varsity and at a collegiate level; also, I trained kids in lacrosse thru 1 on 1 sessions as well as working at various camps. I also babysat when I was in high school and college, different ages, as well as the experience of working with special needs children, so I have experience working and dealing with the adversities that kids have. Other things I enjoy are relaxing with friends and family, watching tv, nonfiction reading, outdoor activities and I have tremendous satisfaction when i strive hard to make a child succeed in his/her academics. That makes it all worth it for me.
